The Siersou Family consisted of ten members for a long time. There were two sets of twins in this family, however, unfortunately, the boy twins, Porkan and Belos, were killed in a hunting accident when they were ten. They would have been the fourth and fifth oldest. The head of this family is Lord Afarei. Afarei was a writer and a teller of tales. He comes from a noble family, honest and wise. Afarei's wife was Lady Lyna. Lyna was beautiful but daring, and went to teach the Darks about Elohim. The Darks would not listen, however, and betrayed Lyna and killed her. Kikuyu was the oldest. He had a family- a loving wife and two fine sons. Siri was the oldest daughter of Lyna and Afarei and the beauty of all their children. Siri had a family, as well. She had a loving husband, and an unborn baby as well as a small daughter not yet two years old. Taunous was the next oldest, and spent his time adventuring. Since Porkan and Belos's accident, Quamada has been the next oldest. After her comes Biran, the sweet little eight year old boy, and then Palon, the next to youngest daughter, a girl of six. Palon was a dragon bard. She had her own dragon, a magnificent white male named Skysong, and the sweetest voice you could imagine. She was forever running through the hills and forests, playing games with her dragon friend and her best friend, Ra'ael's sister Adra'aryn. The youngest were the twins, Maurae and Sibi. These two were under two years old.
The Fates of the Siersou Family
Lady Lyna
was the first to die, excluding Porcan and Belos. As before mentioned,
the Darks betrayed and murdered her. They then went on to invade the land
of Rinara, appearing just outside the village of Torque. They burned the
village, slaughtering almost the whole village, including the families
of Kikuyu and Siri, capturing Siri. Taunous was on another realm during
this, and two weeks before the slaughter, Earsa had pressed Afarei to send
Quamada on her dreamquest a little early, thus (unknown to everyone but
Afarei and Earsa) saving her.
When the
Darks attacked, Afarei fell on Biran and Maurae and Sibi, hiding Palon
in a relatively safe spot. He then played dead, and his children played
along. The Darks disappeared, and Quamada came out of the smoke to run
to her father. She had seen most of it happen, but was too frightened to
move.
Afarei told Quamada to take care of Maurae and Sibi the best she could.
He then sent her away. Quamada settled the twins in Ellewyn Tavern, and
they were safe there. She figured that the Darks would not come back to
that area of Aria for a time, having destroyed the village.
The next
to 'die' was Taunous, the prococious pupil of Earsa. He disappeared, revealing
the dark history of a sword, the Rivenblade, which came into Quamada's
possesion. She hid that away where no one could get to it with the help
of her friend Merloch. Afarei went to try to save his daughter, and avenge
the death of his wife, leaving Biran and Palon in the care of others. Biran
later followed his sister to Fantasy, and was adopted by DarkMistress.
He later
læsot,
or became like an angel, instantly growing
up in the process. Taunous was with him during the process.
Next, the
Darks somehow found out about the twins, and, burning with ambition to
wipe out the troublesome Siersou line, came back when Quamada was not there,
slaughtering the baby girls. They sent one of them, the only Rinaryn Dark
known to be in existance, Tkatae, to try to make Quamada become a Dark,
knowing if they could get her, they would easily have all the Rinaryn.
If he failed, he was supposed to kill her. Tkatae was instead killed by
some of Quamada's friends, who came to her rescue just in time, but the
Darks sent him back again- for all intents and purposes alive again. He
locked Quamada up in the Mahae Towae to starve her to death, for he had
carried a grudge against her for a long time. Quamada broke out though,
using all she knew to weaken the stones and finally using phsysical strength,
throwing herself against the stones until they broke and she was free.
The Darks later sent a raid into Rinara, as they usually do. They found
Palon and Skysong, and chased Palon to kill her and her dragon. Earsa created
the illusion of Palon dead on the ground, and her dragon beside her, allowing
Palon to escape. The Darks left, and Torque is now rebuilt, but all that
is left of the Siersou family are Palon and Quamada, and perhaps Afarei.
However, none of them knows if the others are alive or not. Quamada believes
that her sister is dead, as Earsa never told her what he did.
